how it works
We Back Bristol is a collective of businesses pledging 1% of their revenue and getting involved to support the impact of local charities and community groups, within the Bristol area. Contact a member directly via the members page to access direct asset and skill sharing support. Cash donations are distributed via our partner the Quartet Community Foundation.
Support the impact of local charities
Bristol’s charities and community groups are holding this city together. They open their doors when other services are closed. They offer support, connection and opportunity when you need it most. They are the safety net preventing people from falling into crisis at a time when their world is collapsing.
Any one of us could need that safety net at any time.Â
Charities are at breaking point and their impact is at risk
Across Bristol, charities are having to cut services. Some are closing entirely. Those still open are running on fumes. Why?
- Public services are being stretched so thin that demand for charity support is rising
- Operating costs are rising
- Trust and foundation funding is oversubscribed
- Public donations are decreasing
Backing your city takes three simple steps...Â
Donate at least 1% of revenue (or 1% of venue, brand or product), with at least half in cash.
Cash donations are distributed via Quartet Community Foundation to maximise efficiency and equity.
Assets are donated directly between business and community groups to maximise relationships.
Time and skills are matched to charity need through Quartet’s Pro Help service (link to QCF)
Utilise the We Back Bristol plaque, logo, Annual Impact Report and shared platform to amplify your contribution and why you care. Network with other socially-minded businesses, collaborate on ideas and celebrate our shared impact with the charities that make this city great.
